Description
This is a cool turtle-shaped bottle opener from the 1930s advertising Grove Grocery in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Grove Grocery was a luncheonette on Sagamore Avenue that also sold sundries including beer and ale. The turtle is craning his neck out to give optimum leverage for prying off bottle caps with his open mouth.
VINTAGE:Circa 1930s.
SIZE:Approximately 2-7/16" in height and 2-1/2" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with painted lettering.
ATTACHMENT:Hole.
