Classic & Iconic Old West San Antonio Texas 1890's City Police Badge

Classic & Iconic Old West 1890's San Antonio Texas City Police Badge. This huge "City Police" badge is known to most students of Lawman Badge Collecting as the iconic badge worn in the late 1800's (and into the early 1900's) by the San Antonio Police Department. No Western Lawman Badge Collection would be complete without this badge! I have not had one to offer in a decade or more, as they are mostly tucked away deep in collections, as this one has been for the last decade or so. Great wear from years of use, and a sturdy period replacement of the hinged pin and tongue type C catch with a stout brass safety type pin. Great number too! This badge is considered the 2nd department issue.
