Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a Civil War veterans "Minutemen of '61" parade ribbon depicting amputee veterans. Hanging from an eagle is a blue ribbon with gold lettering showing a veteran with one leg shaking hands with a veteran with one arm. The ribbon reads ONLY A FEW OF US LEFT.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1880s-1890s.

SIZE:

4-3/4" height and 3" width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Gold-plated brass with blue silk ribbon.

ATTACHMENT:

Horizontal safety-style pin.
