ARTIFACT:

This is a late 1960s pilot wing for El Al Airlines. El Al has been the flag carrier of Israel since 1948 . The wing is embroidered in gold bullion thread and shows the Star of David at its center.

VINTAGE:

Circa late 1960s.

SIZE:

Approximately 1-11/16" in height and 4-3/8" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Wool felt with bullion embroidery, silk backing.

ATTACHMENT:

None.

MARKINGS:

Hard to read word written on reverse.
