ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1980 ground crew shirt breast patch for US Air, which has its roots in All American Aviation (circa 1937). All American became Allegheny Airlines in 1953, and US Air was later born in 1979. In 1996 the airline changed its name to US Airways. The patch is white cotton embroidered in red and burgundy threads.

VINTAGE: Circa 1980.

SIZE: Approximately 1-5/8" in height and 3-3/16" in length.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Cotton embroidered in cotton/polyester/silk thread, mesh backing.

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from an airline collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAX13 LBDX4/13

CONDITION: 8 (Excellent-): The patch has very little wear.
