This is a circa 1970s pilot hat badge for KLM (Royal Dutch Airlines). Founded in 1919, KLM is the oldest airline still in operation. The badge is embroidered in gold bullion.
VINTAGE:Circa 1970s.
SIZE:Approximately 2" in height and 3-3/4" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Cotton embroidered in bullion thread, sequins, wool backing.
ATTACHMENT:Brads.
MARKINGS:None.
