ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1970s pilot hat badge for KLM (Royal Dutch Airlines). Founded in 1919, KLM is the oldest airline still in operation. The badge is embroidered in gold bullion.

VINTAGE: Circa 1970s.

SIZE: Approximately 2" in height and 3-3/4" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Cotton embroidered in bullion thread, sequins, wool backing.

ATTACHMENT: Brads.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from an airlines collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAJM12 LABEX8/13 SABEX1/14

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The badge shows only light wear.
