Description
This is a circa 1960s United States Air Force Thai-made "Wild Weasel IV" jacket patch. "Wild Weasel" was a term of endearment given to any United States Air Force craft carrying missiles to detect enemy radar and missiles with the express objective of destroying them. The patch is in bright turquoise blue and shows a weasel skulking about a target.
VINTAGE:Circa 1960s.
SIZE:Approximately 4-1/16" in diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Textured cotton embroidered in cotton/silk/polyester threads, mesh backing.
