Circa 1959-67 Continental Airlines Captains Wing

SUBJECT: This is a Continental Airlines Captain wing from the late 1950s to mid-60's.

VINTAGE: Circa 1959-67.

SIZE: About 3-7/16" in width by 1-9/16" in height.

CONSTRUCTION/MATERIALS: Gold- and rhodium-plated brass central medallion. Gold wire and bullion embroidered on black wool felt. Wing is sewn over a metal template.

ATTACHMENT: Clutch pins.

MARKINGS: GEMSCO inside a wreath. BACKGROUND ALL WOOL EXCLUSIVE OF ORNAMENTATION.

CONDITION: 9- (Excellent+): Like new; only the lightest signs of tarnishing. The black wool of the wing is perfect and free from signs of mothing.
