Description
This is a circa 1955 Zippo lighter advertising for Onan Electric Plants. Onan was started in 1920 by David Warren Onan in Minneapolis, Minnesota and has been based there since. Onan is still in business owned by Cummins Indiana (Cummins Onan). The lighter shows a hand holding a lightning bolt and is named to Charles J. Helmholtz. Helmholtz appears to have been from Massachusetts and was probably a salesman for Onan.
VINTAGE:Circa 1955.
SIZE:Approximately 2-1/4" in height and 1-1/2" in width and 1/2" in thickness.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Chrome-plated brass insert and case.
ATTACHMENT:Hinge.

CONDITION:6 (Fine+): The lighter has overall abrasions and is missing areas of paint.
