Description
This is a circa 1950 2nd issue hat badge for Flying Tiger Line, which began in 1945 as the first commercial air cargo company in the US and was later a military charter outfit until 198The badge is a wing with a blue and red center showing a plane roaring like a tiger. It was made in sterling silver by Balfour.
VINTAGE:Circa 1950.
SIZE:About 1-13/16" in height and 2-9/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Sterling silver with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Single screw post with disc backing with two stabilization posts.
MARKINGS:LGB (Balfour maker mark) STERLING.
