This is a United States Army Air Forces 58th Bomb wing jacket patch, used around the time of the Bikini Atomic Bomb Tests. The famous 509th Composite Group (later 509th Bomb Group) was part of this Bomb Wing. There is a mushroom cloud at the center of the patch.
About 4-3/4" in diameter.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Cotton embroidery thread on cotton.
To be sewn onto garment.
