This is a World War II (circa 1943) United States Army Air Forces "issue" pilot wing. The sterling silver wing is in a pinback style.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II (1943).
SIZE:Approximately 15/16" in height and 2-15/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Sterling silver.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal pin with come-under locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:Sterling.
ITEM NOTES:This is from a WWII US Army Air Forces wing collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. CON-JST-20-14 LAAEX6/14 SLAJEX7/15 SRET06/23
CONDITION:7+ (Very Fine+): The wing has some light wear.
