This is a 1930s Railway Express Agency (REA) employee badge. REA was a conglomeration of smaller national express companies set up by the United States government in 1917, during World War I. The badge is round and is numbered 45819.
VINTAGE:Circa 1930s.
SIZE:1-1/2" diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Celluloid-wrapped tin.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal safety-style pin.
MARKINGS:Hard-to-read maker/union mark on bottom edge.
