This is a great circa 1920 United States Marine Corps captain's single epaulet. The epaulet has a beautiful attached EGA made by Meyer in gilt sterling.
VINTAGE:Circa 1920 (attached EGA is circa World War I).
SIZE:Approximately 5-5/16" in height and 3-3/8" in width and 1-1/4" in depth.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gold braid, wool felt backing, brass clip; gilt sterling (EGA), bullion on felt (bars), gilt brass (button).
ATTACHMENT:Two-piece clip with fold-out fastener.
MARKINGS:None.

CONDITION:8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The epaulet shows only light wear and some tarnish to the bars.
