ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1914 advertising pin for Prowodnik Tires of Riga. Riga was part of Russia at the time, about to be occupied by Germany, and destined to be the capital of an independent Latvia in a couple of decades' time. The pin is an eagle flying through a tire while clutching a blue crest with a white star.

VINTAGE: Circa 1914.

SIZE: Approximately 1-3/8" in height and 1-3/8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated brass, enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical safety-style pin.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from an advertising collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAEX11 LHEX9/11 SABEX12/11

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The pin shows some light wear and has a handsome overall tarnish.
