ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1910s postcard of Junkins Avenue, in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. The view is from the Cottage Hospital by the South Mill Pond, a facility built in 1895. In the distance is the Episcopal Church on Pleasant Street, which was lost in a fire in 1947. The postcard has not been written upon.

VINTAGE: Circa 1910s-1920s.

SIZE: Approximately 5-1/2" in width and 3-1/2" in height.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Card stock.

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: 215588 (on front); The Leighton & Valentine Co., N. Y. City. Printed in the United States (on reverse).

ITEM NOTES: This is from a postcard collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. LABX10/12
