ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1910s match safe by Marble's of Gladstone, Michigan. The safe is cylindrical with a waterproof design and textured striking surfaces on both sides. To open, twist the body of the safe clockwise, like a lipstick case, keeping the end with the patent info up. When enough space has opened up, the lid will swivel to the side and down. This great product is still being made today: why not have the original? Matches included.

VINTAGE: Circa 1910s.

SIZE: Approximately 2-5/8"e; in height and 15/16" in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Nickel-plated brass.

ATTACHMENT: Screw top, pivoting arms.

MARKINGS: MARBLE'S GLADSTONE, MICH. U.S.A. PAT'D 1900.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a hunting and fishing collection that we will be listing more of over the next few months. SHOP VAJX13 VEEX9/13 SEEX7/14

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The safe has light wear aside from some discoloration on the striking surfaces.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
