Description
This is a circa 1910's or 1920's Marion, Texas Police badge. Founded in 1877, and Incorporated as a city in 1941, Marion is a small city in Guadalupe County, near San Antonio. Marion started off as a camp for railway workers. The badge is shield-shaped with a large eagle at the top and a two-dimensional star at its center.
VINTAGE:Circa 1910's - 1920's.
SIZE:Approximately 2-5/16" height and 1-11/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Nickel-plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with a C catch.
