Description
This is a circa 1910 jewelry box from Arthur B. Duncan Jewelers of Portsmouth. Duncan moved into the coveted corner spot at 1 Market Street in 190Today a jeweler is installed in the same location, and the building's exterior has been restored to a period, although not original, design. The box is textured and its lid reads ESTABLISHED 1817 ARTHUR B. DUNCAN JEWELER AND SILVERSMITH PORTSMOUTH, N.H. in a lovely script. The cover has half-circle cut outs on each of its two longer sides.
VINTAGE:Circa 1910.
SIZE:Approximately 11/16" in depth x 1-7/8" in length and 1-3/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Printed, glossy cardboard box with cotton inside.
ATTACHMENT:Lid slides onto box.
