Circa 1900 Russian Imperial University Graduate Badge

This is a circa 1900 badge for a Russian Imperial University graduate. The badge is an enameled cross upon a diamond frame. There are three marks on the reverse of the badge and two on the backing.

Circa 1900.

Approximately 1-13/16" in height and 1-1/8" in width.

Brass, enamel.

Single screw post with disc backing.

BX, a head and 84, and a small head on reverse of badge; hard to photograph, similar marks on backing: a person's head and BX.

6 (Fine+): The badge shows some light to medium wear and some small spots of the enamel are missing. There was a crown affixed to the top at one point.
