ARTIFACT: Circa 1968 United States Navy Support Facility Danang large Tien Sha Peninsula Security pocket patch made in Saigon at Cheap Charlies. The center shows a green image of the country and crossed South Vietnamese and American flags and surrounding it reads: "U.S. NAVAL SUPPORT FACILITY DANANG VIETNAM" in black embroidered lettering and the outer black border reads: "TIEN SHA PENINSULA SECURITY" in white lettering.

VINTAGE: Circa 1968

SIZE: Approximately 5" x 5-5/8"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Embroidered cotton and twill, silk/polyester/cotton threads, paper and gauze backing

ITEM NOTES: This is from a USN collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MEX16 LAFEX10/16

CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine-): The patch shows minor to moderate wear and soiling, the colors remain bright, small spot of adhesive on the front, scrapbook remnants on reverse, overall very fine condition.
