ARTIFACT: Beautiful, large circa 1967 United States Naval Advisory Unit Nha Be Ruh pocket patch made in Saigon by Cheap Charlies. The shield shaped patch depicts an alligator with his mouth open read to bite against a white background with a black embroidered anchor. The alligator looks to be rising up from the water only the 'water' is the colors of the South Vietnam flag and reads: "NHA BE RUH" in white embroidered lettering. The top of the patch is blue and features white stars and the bottom, red and white stripes to resemble the US flag and the patch reads: "NAVAL ADVISORY UNIT COMBAT OPS LOGISTICS OP" in black detailed lettering.

VINTAGE: Circa 1967

SIZE: Approximately 4-5/8" x 4"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Embroidered twill and cotton, silk/polyester/cotton threads, olive drab canvas backing

CONDITION: 8 (Excellent-): The patch shows minor wear and soiling, the colors remain bright, overall excellent condition.
