Circa 1956-58 United States Navy VA-56 "Boomerangs" Japanese-made jacket patch. The Navy attack squadron flew the F-9F8 & F-9F8B Cougar Aircraft during which time they were stationed at the Marine Corps Air Station Miramar in San Diego, California. The patch features a yellow boomerang within a white disc with a thin yellow and blue border, the patch reads: "ATTACK SQUADRON 56".

SIZE:Approximately 4 ½" x 4"
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Fully embroidered in silk/cotton/polyester thread on cotton.
