ARTIFACT:

This is a World War I homefront machine gun munitions worker badge in bronze by Gorham Company. The badge has a bar at top that reads WAR WORKER, and the medallion shows a man at a forge alongside an eagle.

VINTAGE:

Circa World War I.

SIZE:

Approximately 1-5/8" in height and 1-5/16" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Bronze.

ATTACHMENT:

Horizontal pin with safety-style catch on bar, suspension rings.

MARKINGS:

GORHAM CO.
