ARTIFACT:
Big, beautiful, early 1970's United States Navy NCSP (Naval Communications Station Philippines) Det-A Phu Bai, Vietnam. This fully embroidered jacket patch was made in the Philippines and the center shows yellow and red vertical stripes with the outline of Vietnam showing crossed artillery and electricity bolt. The viewer's left shows a red, white, and blue emblem with a shark and bulls head and reads: "NCSP PHU-BAI". The viewer's right shows a white anchor with a golden rope and reads: "DET - A VIETNAM".
