BEING RESEARCHED - Victorian Horse Brass for Hunting Club? Lion's Paw - NOT FOR SALE TIL IDed

This is an unidentified item from the Victorian era: it is possibly a horse brass, perhaps from a hunting club. The brass is in in black leather, and its decorative (wide) end bears an heraldic lion's paw in brass.

Circa Victorian Era (1830s-1901).

Approximately 11" in length and 2" in width.

Leather, brass.

Hole.

None.
