Description

ARTIFACT:

This is an unidentified half wing in sterling silver by Balfour. The wing bears the crest for the University of Pennsylvania along with the school's motto: LEGES SINE MORIBUS VANAE (laws without morals are in vain).

VINTAGE:

Circa unknown.

SIZE:

Approximately 3/4" in height and 1-7/8" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Sterling silver.

ATTACHMENT:

Two posts with clutch-back catches.

MARKINGS:

LGB (Balfour) STERLING.

ITEM NOTES:

8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The wing shows some very small spots of light wear and tarnish.
