This is an unidentified excavated cartouche box plate, possibly from the Revolutionary War period. The plate is convex and has an interesting scrolling design and a lovely patina.
VINTAGE:Circa unknown.
SIZE:Approximately 2-1/4" in diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Bronze.
ATTACHMENT:Two posts, each with a small hole through it.

CONDITION:7- (Very Fine-): The plate shows some moderate to heavy wear and tarnish due to its age and time spent underground.
