This is an unidentified lapel wing showing a nicely enameled early airplane at its center. The wing is in sterling silver by Birks, and could therefore be related to British or Canadian aviation.
VINTAGE:Circa unknown.
SIZE:Approximately 1/4" in height and 1-1/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Sterling silver with enameled details.
ATTACHMENT:Single screw post with disc backing.
MARKINGS:BIRKS STERLING.
ITEM NOTES:This is from an unidentified collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. Item will not be sold until it is identified. LX1/12
CONDITION:7 (Very Fine): The wing shows light wear and tarnish only with a couple of very small spots of enamel missing.
