Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a beautiful example of a World War II United States Army Air Forces bombardier wing. 

The wing is in sterling silver and was made by N.S. Meyer Company.

VINTAGE:

Circa World War II.

SIZE:

Approximately 15/16" in height and 2-31/32" in length.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Sterling silver.

ATTACHMENT:

Horizontal pin with come-under locking catch.

MARKINGS:

N.S. MEYER raised shield maker mark and STERLING.

ITEM NOTES:

This is from a United States Army Air Forces collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VEJX11 LAHEX3/12 SAHEX02/21

CONDITION:

8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The wing shows some light wear and tarnish.
