Beautiful WWII Swedish Air Force M43 Air Combat Badge in Silver with Maker & Silver Marks

This is a beautiful World War II Swedish Air Force M/43 Air Combat badge in silver. This badge was deigned and manufactured by Sporrong & Company in coin (.800) silver. This silver grade badge was given out in a limited supply (about 100) to fighter pilots and air gunners for competency in various technical competitions, including marksmanship (credit: rathbonemuseum.com). The contests ended before the close of the war. The badge is nicely maker marked and a also has a silver mark on reverse.

Circa World War II.

Approximately 1-1/2" in height and 1-7/16" in width.

Coin (.800) silver.

Vertical T-style pin with C catch.

S&CO (Sporrong & Co. mark), R8, silver marks.
