ARTIFACT: This is a beautiful example of a World War II Nazi Germany Wehrmacht Panzer (tank) assault badge in bronze. The reverse is well marked with embossed, stylized, overlapping manufacturer's initials in a triangle: "AS", indicating manufacture by either Adolf Scholze of Grünwald or Adolf Schwerdt of Stuttgart. The debate continues. The badge is an oak leaf wreath with an eagle and swastika at top framing a tank.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 2-7/16" in height and 1-5/8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Bronze.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical kick pin with C catch on plate.

MARKINGS: AS within a circle (mark for either Adolf Scholze of Grünwald or Adolf Schwerdt of Stuttgart).

ITEM NOTES: This is from a WWII German Army panzer badge collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. CON-JST-20-14 LDIEX6/14 SDJJX04/14/23

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine): The badge has some light to medium wear/tarnish and a small area of oxidation.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
