Beautiful WWII Nazi Wehrmacht Panzer Assault Badge in Bronze by A.S.

This is a beautiful example of a World War II Nazi Germany Wehrmacht Panzer (tank) assault badge in bronze. The reverse is well marked with embossed, stylized, overlapping manufacturer's initials in a triangle: "AS", indicating manufacture by either Adolf Scholze of Grünwald or Adolf Schwerdt of Stuttgart. The debate continues. The badge is an oak leaf wreath with an eagle and swastika at top framing a tank.

Circa World War II.

Approximately 2-7/16" in height and 1-5/8" in width.

Bronze.

Vertical kick pin with C catch on plate.

AS within a circle (mark for either Adolf Scholze of Grünwald or Adolf Schwerdt of Stuttgart).
