Serving in counter-intelligence because of blindness to the colors red and green, Hunter carried out an operation that secured the arrest of over 1,000 Nazis and earned him the Bronze Star. The scene captured in the painting is of two United States Army Air Corps flying between a flying school in Pecos (Texas) to Gibbs Field.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 18-7/8" in height by 24" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Paper, glass, wood, metal, cellophane sleeve.

ATTACHMENT: Wire, two eye hooks.

MARKINGS: HUNTER.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a paintings and prints collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. ebay VFEJX09 LADEJX11/11
