Beautiful & Unique WWI US Army Colonel "War Eagle" Rank Insignia Jeweler-Made in Silver

ARTIFACT:

This is a unique and beautiful World War I United States Army colonel "War Eagle" rank insignia. The eagle is jeweler-made in silver with finely detailed wings and tail feathers, and might even be European made. It is exquisite. 

VINTAGE:

Circa World War I.

SIZE:

Approximately 15/16'' in height by 1-5/8'' in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Sterling or Coin Silver.

ATTACHMENT:

Horizontal pin with partly sleeved tubular catch.

MARKINGS:

None.
