ARTIFACT: This is a unique and beautiful World War I United States Army colonel "War Eagle" (Dagon??) rank insignia. The eagle is jeweler-made in silver with finely detailed wings and tail feathers, and might even be European made. It is exquisite. 

VINTAGE: Circa World War I.

SIZE: Approximately 15/16'' in height by 1-5/8'' in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Sterling or Coin Silver.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with partly sleeved tubular catch.

MARKINGS: None.

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The eagle has only some light wear and tarnish.
