Description
This is a rare World War II era IRVIN Parachute "Silk Shute Club" patch and pin. The "Irving Silk Shute Club" is a Brittish equivalent to the Caterpillar Club.
VINTAGE:World War II-era.
SIZE:Patch: About 3-3/4" in width by 4" in height; Pin: About 1-5/16" in width by 13/16" in height.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:The patch is embroidery thread on felt and the pin is gold-plated silver with blue and white enamel.
ATTACHMENT:The patch is to be sewn onto garment and the pin has a horizontal pin with a "C" catch.
MARKINGS:Patch: None; Pin: H.W.MILLER.LTD. E'HAM.18 MADE IN ENGLAND.
