Description
This is a beautiful Pre to Early World War II Luftwaffe Air Gunner & Flight Engineer badge in silvered tombac. The badge depicts a wreath with a swaztika on the bottom and a patinated eagle; with two rivets on the reverse to hold the eagle to the frame. Theertical needle-style pinback with a narrow barrel hinge and a round wire catch has been replaced nicely replaced during its period of wear. It is maker marked "B&N, L" for "Berg & Nolte, Ludenscheid" on the reverse. Typically this badge would have lightning bolts held by the eagle, however the bolts have been cut off by the original wearer
