ARTIFACT: This is a beautiful bronze National Team match medal from 1909 for Class B fourth prize presented by the Henry Hilton Rifle Shooting Medal by Military & Naval Teams of Twelve, Instituted in 1878. The obverse of the badge depicts a scene of Native Americans hunting buffalo of horseback. The medal was made by Bailey, Banks, and Biddle (B. B. & B.).

VINTAGE: Circa 1909

SIZE: Approximately 3-1/2" x 1-5/8"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Bronze and silk

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with over-under catch.

MARKINGS: "NATIONAL TEAM MATCH 1909. CLASS B FOURTH PRIZE. 1878. PRESENTED BY HENRY HILTON FOR RIFLE SHOOTING BY MILITARY & NAVAL TEAMS OF TWELVE. B.B. & B. THTLA. BRONZE."

CONDITION: 8+ (Excellent)= This medal has aged beautifully. light wear, but has a very nice look to it.
