This is a beautiful and minty World War II leather patch made in China for the United States 8th Airdrome Squadron. Activated November 26, 1943, the 8th was sent to Kwelin, China for service after training. The patch shows a mechanic with a figure eight for a body at its center.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 4-15/16" in height and 4-5/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Multi-piece leather.
ATTACHMENT:None.
MARKINGS:8TH AIRDROME SQ handwritten on reverse.
