ARTIFACT:
Beautiful, minty circa 1963 Corgi Toys Land Rover Wrecker Model 417s. Corgi Toys were introduced in the United Kingdom in July of 1956, they developed many popular models, and this example is from their line of classic toys. The "Breakdown Truck" in Series 2 mode with suspension, but missing the tilt. The truck is painted red metal with a lift attached to the end of the tailgate, the tire on the side of the truck's bed turns to operate the suspension hook. The underside of the truck reads: "LAND ROVER 109" W. B. CORGI TOYS PATENT APPLICATION 21101/59 MADE IN GT. BRITAIN" in embossed lettering and the black toy wheels read: "CORGI TOYS".
