ARTIFACT:
This is a very nice early WWII Chinese Blood Chit. It is hand embroidered on multiple pieces of silk, and is very beautifully executed. This Chit was clearly made by a master embroiderer.
This type of Chit is usually found in near mint - mint condition, brought home as a souvenir, but this one looks to have actually been carried or worn. Still a beautiful addition to any Blood Chit Collection.
VINTAGE:
World War II.
SIZE:
Approximately 11" in height x 8" in width.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Hand embroidered on multiple pieces of silk
ATTACHMENT:
To be sewn on.
MARKINGS:
來華助戰: Come to China to help
洋人(美國): Foreigner (American)
軍民一體: Military-civilian integration
救護: Rescue, Help
ITEM NOTES:
This is from a WWII Blood Chit collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. CON-DHJ-VCEJX-25-16 LCHEX07/21/22
CONDITION:
8- (Very Fine - Excellent): Usually this type of Blood Chit is found in near mint condition, but this one actually looks like it was carried in the skies over China. Or was maybe even tacked inside a Flight Jacket. Light wear, and light soiling present.
GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
