This is a World War II badge for the Canadian Women's Voluntary Services (WVS). The WVS was a civilian group that coordinated medical humanitarian aid and other activities during the war. The badge is in sterling silver and is beautifully enameled, and appropriately festooned with maple leaves.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/8" in height and 1" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Sterling silver, enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal pin with tongue-style C catch.
MARKINGS:STERLING, unknown maker mark.
