Description
This is a beautiful pair of circa early 1930s "aviator" style sunglasses with classic flat bridge, dark tinting and curved ear pieces. The arms and frame are gold-filled (1/10 12K). The glasses are maker-marked in three spots and come in their original case by Spectors, Jewelers and Opticians of New Haven, Connecticut.
VINTAGE:Circa early 1930s.
SIZE:Approximately 5-1/2" across and 4-1/8" in length (each arm)
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gold-filled brass, glass, resin nose pads; case: leather, wood and steel with nickeled brass closure.
ATTACHMENT:Snap on case.
MARKINGS:LoC 1/10-12K G.F. (in three spots on glasses): SPECTORS, JEWELERS and OPTICIANS 848 CHAPEL STREET NEW HAVEN, CONN. inside case.

CONDITION:8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The glasses are in great shape with only some light wear and a bit of tarnishing; case has some abrasions.
