This is a beautiful circa 1942 1st issue lapel wing for Colonial Air Lines. Originally christened in 1928 as Canadian Colonial Airways, Colonial was renamed May 1, 1942 and operated through the 1950s, when it merged with Eastern. This wing is in enameled sterling silver.
VINTAGE:Circa 1942.
SIZE:Approximately 3/8" in height and 1-1/4" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Enameled sterling silver.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.
