ARTIFACT:
Beautiful circa 1946 Trans World Airlines Captain Wing of Capt. George Cole Toop. Wing displays exquisite engraving and details, the wing reads: "TRANS WORLD AIRLINE" below a star encircled by a wreath. The center plate depicts a feather-dressed Indian and below reads: "TWA".
Below are links to additional pieces which also belonged to Early TWA Pilot, WWII Civilian Air Transport Command (India China Division) Sr. Pilot, and Later TWA Captain George Cole Toop.
VINTAGE:
Circa 1946.
SIZE:
Approximately 3 3/8" x 1 1/4".
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
10K gold-filled.
ATTACHMENT:
Double screw posts with disc backing.
MARKINGS:
"LGB 1/20 10K GF".
