Description

ARTIFACT:

Beautiful circa 1944 United States Army Air Forces 'Issue' Glider Pilot wing in unmarked sterling silver – a winged shield bearing the letter: "G" in raised detail. This example is in excellent condition with nearly all the original lacquer intact.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1944.

SIZE:

Approximately 3" in length x 7/8" in height.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Lacquered Sterling Silver.

ATTACHMENT:

Two posts with clutchbacks.

MARKINGS:

None.

ITEM NOTES:

8+ (Excellent): The wing shows minor wear, nearly all the lacquered details remain intact, overall excellent condition.
