Description
This is a beautiful circa 1940s or 1950s boxing helmet in leather by Brine Company of Boston Massachusetts. The helmet has ear openings, a padded interior flap, rear laces, a chinstrap with a sliding buckle and elasticized straps spanning the top. Great maker label right on the front excellent condition!
VINTAGE:Circa 1940s-1950s.
SIZE:Approximately 7" in height; topmost head opening: 8-1/2" by 5-1/2".
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Leather, nylon laces, cotton/nylon elastic.
ATTACHMENT:Chin strap with sliding "buckle", laces on reverse.
MARKINGS:W.H. BRINE CO. 93 FRANKLIN ST. BOSTON label; 218 on reverse.
