ARTIFACT: This is a beautiful circa 1928 American Legion medal for its 10th National Convention, which took place in San Antonio, Texas. The medal was made by the Robbins Company of Attleboro, Massachusetts. The front has a nice enameled five-point star and the reverse shows the Alamo in relief.

VINTAGE: Circa 1928.

SIZE: Approximately 3-3/8" in height and 1-5/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Bronze, enamel, silk.

ATTACHMENT: Suspension ring, ribbon, horizontal pin on bar with tongue-style C catch.

MARKINGS: THE ROBBINS CO. ATTLEBORO MASS.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a veterans' collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. ebay VAJX13 LFEX1/13

CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine-): The medal shows some light wear and has some small spots of oxidation; ribbon has areas of moderate wear.
