ARTIFACT:
Beautiful 1890's Elizabeth, New Jersey fire department Exempt Fireman badge by C.D. Reese in New York. The badge shows a raised fireman's helmet in the center surrounded by an axe, horn, and hook. The top of the badge shows the number: "1731" in black painted detail and below two banners read: "ELIZABETH F.D. EXEMPT" in raised lettering.
VINTAGE:
Circa 1890's.
SIZE:
Approximately 1-7/8" in height x 1-3/16" in width.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Nickel plated nickel, black paint.
ATTACHMENT:
Vertical kick pin with C type catch.
MARKINGS:
"C.D. REESE 122 NASSAU ST. N.Y."
