ARTIFACT: Beautiful 1890's Elizabeth, New Jersey fire department Exempt Fireman badge by C.D. Reese in New York. The badge shows a raised fireman's helmet in the center surrounded by an axe, horn, and hook. The top of the badge shows the number: "1731" in black painted detail and below two banners read: "ELIZABETH F.D. EXEMPT" in raised lettering.

VINTAGE: Circa 1890's

SIZE: Approximately 1-7/8" x 1-7/16"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Nickeled nickel, black paint

ATTACHMENT: Vertical kick pin with "C" type catch

MARKINGS: "C.D. REESE 122 NASSAU ST. N.Y."

ITEM NOTES: This is from a fire fighting and rescue collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. TRVFEX TRGM16 LAFEX11/16

CONDITION: 8+ (Excellent): The badge shows minor wear, much of the nickel plated and painted details remain intact, overall excellent condition.
