Description
This is a beautiful circa 1880s-1890s Deputy U.S. Marshal badge. The shield-shaped badge is in silver-plated die-stamped brass and is very lightweight. It has a wonderful patina and definitely has acquired "The Look". We also have a slightly newer (circa 1900) Deputy US Marshal badge in stamped nickel for sale (please see link at bottom of page for information).
VINTAGE:Circa 1880s-1890s.
SIZE:Approximately 2-1/8" in height and 1-1/2" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Silver-plated die-stamped brass.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical safety-style pin.
MARKINGS:None.
