This is the first Japan Air Lines (JAL) employee lapel badge in unmarked silver. The badge is numbered and has characters on its reverse, and the logo design is a clever juxtaposition of the letters J A L resembling the oncoming nose of an airplane.
Approximately 1-1/4" in width and 1/2" in height.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Silver with enamel.
Single screw post with disc backing.
4038 and characters; STERLING on backing.
This is from an airlines collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. ebay RC/GEX94 LAGEX8/11 SeBBJX9/15
8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The badge shows light wear and has an overall tarnish, with a slight ding to the enamel.
GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
